Homage to heroic freedom fighter honorary captain Ruhul Amin

Brave freedom fighter, honorary Captain (Retd), Alhaj Md. Ruhul Amin, Ex-Assistant Director, Bangladesh Ansar & Village Defence Party breated his last by heart attack at Birdem Hospital in the capital city at 1.05 p.m. on 19 January, 2014 (Innalillahi O Inna lliahi Rajiun).

His first Namaj-a-janaja was held at the headquarters of Ansar & VDP. It was participated in by Director General of Anasar & VDP Major General Md. Nazim Uddin, PSC, Addl. DG Brigadier General Md. Jasim Uddin, AFWC, PSC and all Deputy Director Generals and officers and staffs including other members of Ansar & VDP on 19 January 2014 at 4.15 p.m.

After Janaja his death body was taken to his native village Davisingpur of Nobipur Union in Senbag Upozila of Noakhali District. There his second Namaje Janaja was held at 9.00 a.m. under the supervision and cooperation of Bangladesh Army. After the ending of his second Namaj-a-Janaja, he was buried with due state and military honour. He was given guard of honour by the Army, the Police, the Ansar and the District Freedom Fighters’ Command Council.

89 officeres and soldiers completed his ritual and burial with due state and military honuor under the leadership of Artlery Major Sayed Monirul Alam of 28 Medium Regiment of 33 artilery Brigade under 33 Podatik Divion of Bangaladesh Army.

It is to mention that late honorary Captain (Retd) Alhaj Md. Ruhul Amin was born  on 19 May 1934. He joined Pakistan Army on 26 June 1952. During our glorious liberation war, he was serving at Agartola Headquarters under General M A G Osmany, the Commander-in-Chief of Bangladesh Liberation Forces. He was a heroic freedom fighter of Bangladesh Army.

After the victory of our liberation war, he was serving at Nine Podatik Division of Bangladesh Army and at ACC of Army Headquarters. He was the first honorary captain of Army Clerical Core (ACC) of Bangladesh Army. After retiring as a captain from Bangladesh Army on 5 April 1980, he had served as Assistant Director of Bangladesh Ansar & Village Defence Party from 31 March 1983 to 14 September 1991. He proved his skill by properly and successfully    organizing and establishing Bangladesh Army Pay & Pension (Record Section) and Ansar  & VDP Record Section.

He left behind his wife, two sons and four daughters and innumerable colleagues, companions and well-wishers to mourn his death.

His youngest son Nurul Goni Mukul has been serving in Public Relations Department in the post of Staff Photographer at Ansar & VDP. His grandson (son of youngest son) Sheikh Md. Saiful Islam Shubo has been serving at BCS (Education) Cadre. His second daughter  Meherul Nesa Karfi is an office Assistant of Ansar & VDP and grandson (son of his elderest daughter) has been serving as Cashier of Ansar & VDP. They on behalf of their family seeks paryer from all citizens of the conutry for this heroic freedom fighter so that his departed soul may rest in eternal peace.
