‘Makdee’ child actor Shweta Basu Prasad arrested for alleged prostitution

National Award winning actor Shweta Basu Prasad of ‘Makdee’ fame was arrested for being allegedly involved in a prostitution racket in Hyderabad, according to reports.   Shweta had won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for her performance in the 2002 film ‘Makdee.’

Shweta Basu Prasad, who played the role of Shreyas Talpade’s younger sister in National Award winning movie ‘Iqbal’, was arrested from a high end hotel at the Banjara Hills in Hyderabad.reports the indian express.

According to reports, Shweta Basu Prasad was caught in a compromising position from the hotel room.

Shweta, who is now working in Telugu films, has acted in Ekta Kapoor’s hit serial ‘Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki’ where she played the role of Sakshi Tanwar’s daughter.
